Marble ducks range in size from 15 to 17 inches. Adult marbled ducks are sandy, pale brown with white patches, dark eye patches, and a matted head. The chicks are similar, only with more white patches.

Marbled Duck or Marbled teal, scientific name Marmaronetta angustirostris, belongs to the Anatidae family. This wetland animal makes a “jeep” sound when the male is defending himself; the rest of the time, it is relatively silent. Animals with binocular vision can survive for about 20 to 30 years.
